How to install Nifi on Centos:

It as easy as Nifi configuration on windows which we did it in our last post.

To install nifi on centos machine download nifi from nifi-1.0.0-BETA-bin.tar.gz or select appropriate binaries from link and download it.

1. Now move the tar.gz file to a directory where you would like to install nifi, then Decompress and untar into desired installation directory.

2. Open nifi.properties file under nifi-0.7.0/conf modify few parameters:
     a. Add banner to nifi.ui.banner.text= Weclome to A-ZHadoop Nifi!...
     b. Change http port number from 8080 to 9090 to avoid conflict with Ambari

3. Now go to nifi-0.7.0/bin and run "./nifi.sh install" .

4. After installation is complete, we can start the service by running "./nifi.sh start"

5. Once after service are started we can open nifi web UI using browser with "http://localhost:9090/" OR "http://YourHostname:9090/"

6. We can control nifi service using
     a. service nifi stop
     b. service nifi stop
     c. service nifif status
